Ten minutes across the Peace River from our Port Charlotte base. Built to order by Weather King, delivered and set up free, rent-to-own with no credit check.
Punta Gorda is the closest delivery we make outside Port Charlotte — about 8 miles over the US-41 bridge. Burnt Store, Punta Gorda Isles, Seminole Lakes, the historic district, Tropical Gulf Acres and the ranch lots out Jones Loop and Bermont Road are all well inside the free-delivery zone.
We're a family-run Weather King dealership (dealer #6851). There's no sales lot; you choose from 23 styles on the price sheet or build it in 3D, and your building is made for you in about 3–5 weeks. The driver levels it on treated blocks and shims at delivery. Punta Gorda's rural lots east of I-75 are exactly where the bigger barns and 14-ft-wide buildings go.
Punta Gorda has two very different kinds of lots: deed-restricted waterfront sections near downtown, and big unrestricted acreage to the east. These cover both:
| Size | Style | Base price |
|---|---|---|
| 8x12 | Cottage Shed | $3,570 |
| 10x20 | Lofted Barn | $6,675 |
| 12x24 | Lofted Barn Cabin | $10,345 |
| 14x32 | 14 ft Lofted Barn | $14,295 |
Base building, delivered and set up free within 50 miles. Prices are estimates, don't include sales tax or add-ons, and can change without notice. See every style and size →
Inside the city limits, permits go through the City of Punta Gorda Building Division, 126 Harvey Street, 2nd floor (941-575-3324). Outside the city limits — Burnt Store Road south of the line, Tropical Gulf Acres, the Jones Loop ranches — it's Charlotte County, and the Port Charlotte page covers that.
Permits, setbacks and anchoring are the homeowner's responsibility, but you won't be doing it blind — call or text us and we'll walk you through what your office wants.
Where this comes from: City of Punta Gorda – What does or does not require a permit · City of Punta Gorda – permit fee schedule · City of Punta Gorda – Land Development Regulations · Florida HB 803 (2026). Rules change — confirm with the office before you order.
Often not. The city's Special Residential Overlay covers most PGI sections and prohibits detached accessory buildings. Burnt Store Isles and the sections outside the overlay are a different story. Call the Building Division (941-575-3324) with your section number — it's a two-minute call that can save you a lot of trouble.
Yes. You're about 8 miles from us, and free delivery and setup covers everything within 50 miles of Port Charlotte. The driver levels the building on treated blocks and shims; you just need a reasonably flat spot with 4 ft of clearance around it and a path the truck can use.
Yes. The only exemption on the city's list is a plastic or rubber shed of 68 sq ft or smaller. The city charges a flat $100 for a shed permit, and we send you the engineered plans and anchor plan they ask for.
Our 14-ft-wide utility sheds, lofted barns and garages run up to 14x40. They travel on a pilot-car route, which adds a permit fee for the trip — ask us for the number for your address. On the ranch lots east of I-75 they're the building that makes the most sense.
Pick whatever’s easiest — we answer them all, usually the same day.
