They make a good one. The Cabin, Lofted Barn Cabin and Deluxe Side Cabin come with a covered porch, glass door and windows, and we can add an electrical package, moisture barrier and radiant barrier for a finished interior. Check with the city or county about how the building is permitted if you plan to run power to it.
Inside the city, accessory structures under 20 ft tall must be at least 5 ft from the rear and side lines and out of the front yard and any waterfront setback. In the county, the setback depends on your zoning district — the county's shed packet asks for them on the site plan, and we'll help you draw it.
In Sarasota, almost always. Architectural review boards commonly require the shed to match the house color and sit out of sight from the street. Get that approval before the permit; the Weather King color card makes the match easy.
